Who Is A Better Rapper Lil Wayne Or Eminem?

I think Eminem is a way better rapper all around.
He keeps a great beat, and the lyrics to his songs are very well written. If you’ve heard his old song, “Mockingbird”, and actually listen to the lyrics, they are very personal and yet again well written. Lil Wayne has popular songs too, but some of his lyrics don’t make any sense at all, or sound awkward. Personally, I like Eminem’s songs better.

Lil Wayne is a great rapper no doubt..he’s shown it before with the first two “Carter” solo albums and the first two “Dedication” mixtapes…that’s the Lil Wayne many of us want to see “come back” I guess.
With that said, He shouldn’t be in the same conversation as Eminem when it comes to “best” or “better.” He knows this and has said so himself. Eminem’s flow is like no other. Name a few other rappers who can experience with so many different flows (as he does on “Relapse” if we actually pay attention to his lyrics) and still be relevant.
Lyrical choice. What we have to understand is that Wayne is rapping much differently than he was 3-5 years ago when him as “the best” first came into conversation. Em is rapping differently than he was when “The Slim Shady LP” or “Marshall Mathers LP” for example, came out. Wayne is making songs strictly for the charts right now…it’s about the money which is cool, I guess…he’s a hustler. He’s an intelligent rapper, but his word play lacks in comparison to Eminem’s even today. Eminem is using a different style on each song to tell us why he’s been gone for song long, and how his flow is different from everyone elses’. IE: Using himself stalking, assaulting, raping and killing someone as a metaphor for this (as in “Stay Wide Awake” on “Relapse”). I don’t know many other rappers who can do this.

i believe eminem is a better rapper than lil wayne, eminem has the lyrical content that adds meaning to songs, he can express what he wants through his songs and he has the remarkable ability of making words rhyme (even though they don’t) by altering the tone of his voice when rapping.
overall i think eminem is a far more experienced rapper.

Eminem, Lil Wayne sucks, I don’t know why they make such a big deal over him. I guess because he keeps making song after song so people are so use to hearing him, but I don’t get it. He’s not the better rapper in my opinion.

definitely Eminem in all 3 categories, his songs have a purpose, he can be funny, serious, and tell a story. Lil wayne just says a bunch of random sh*t that don’t make sense

i prefer his voice and i think he raps about things that matter,
he is my all-time favourite rapper.

Eminem. I like his old music better though.

I believe that Eminem in all categorries is a better rapper than eminem. Although I beleive little wayne has the potential to be one of the best he let go of that a long time ago when he started making songs just to be put onthe radio. His new fascination with this auto tune throws off his originality and shuts me away from actually hearing what is being said. In over all I beleive lil wayne went from being a leader to a follower in the rap game giving up his thinking process because he does not make sense in most of his lyrics now and only rymes that’s it. there is no meaning to what he is saying at all. Eminem lives, breaths, and is music. This is something he dedicated his life for a long time ago. He has the ability to make words rhyme with the way he plays with his tone of voice put him next to anybody on the same track and you will see his voice plays a big role in the music he uses the beat and manipulates it with his voice making the best sound out of it where other rappers voices like lil wayne gets blend in with the background. He is not only a rapper but a great producer and all around mucisian in my oppinion and not only does his understanding of music show through his rapping but also his awareness about whats going on in life takes it to the next level lil wayne simply thinks about getting money now hes not only not sending out a message in his lyrics but it doesnt seem like hes receiving a message about whats going on around him either.
